Wizard rockers sleep on the sofa
Elin Johansson in Sävedalen offers a place to stay over to the American band Harry and the Potters after their performance at Lokal Sinnet.
How is it that they're sleeping over at your house?
"I'm a Harry Potter fan and had read that Harry and the Potters had difficulty finding a place for their show here in Gothenburg. So I sent some suggestions to them. We emailed back and forth a few times and then we came up with that they could stay with us when they were here."
What does your family think about the visit?
"My eldest daughter also likes Harry Potter and she thinks it's great fun. My husband is a musician himself and he's used to be able to stay with people when he plays, so of course we set this up."
How will they live?
"We have some extra beds and mattresses. There are five people in the band in line and they may take it like it is."
What is the thing about wizard rock?
"It is part of the Harry Potter community. It's just fun, it's a fun thing to do. Harry and the Potters was "the" wizard rock band and they have clever lyrics. They write as if they were Harry Potter. So a text can be about what it is like to live under the stairs and suddenly find out that you are a wizard. There are very different kinds of wizard rock bands but Harry and the Potters are good. They are a bit punk."
Are you a bit star-stuck now?
"Haha, maybe a bit. But they are not a really big band."
