The Wizzies  [update Jun 15: some dates have changed, see below]

First round voting for wizard rock awards The Wizzies is open until Wed June 15th. Vote for your favourites at http://wizardinglife.com/2011/06/the-wizzies-are-here.

First round results will determine 5 finalists for each category, and the final round voting is on from June 17th to July 10th.

If you're in a wizard rock band (you don't have to be nominated for Wizzies) and want your performance to be played in the livestream awards ceremony on July 31st, send a video of your performance (one or two songs) to brtt150@gmail.com by July 15th at the latest.

  • More bands and the wizard rock show schedule for Aeternitas 2011 have been announced: Friday night show with Swish and Flick, Brian Ross of Draco and the Malfoys, The Whomping Willows, Lauren Fairweather and Lily and James. Saturday night show with Ministry of Magic, The Remus Lupins, Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills and Madame Pince and the Librarians. There will also be side stage performances, for which wizard rock bands can sign up until Feb 20th.

Heya wizards! Happy new year!

I've got some WrockWay news:
  • This year I'll start compiling a list of wrock releases right away so you can keep track of all the wrock that is released. I'll update all upcoming releases that are announced to that page, too.
  • Also, please check out the list of wizard rock 2010 once more, and let me know if something is missing. 
  • I made a Facebook page for WrockWay, please go and "like" it if you want to recieve update messages about important WrockWay things via Facebook (though you can also go "like" it because, um, you like WrockWay ;)

Heya wizards,

as you probably know from Twitter already, WrockWay might not be updated regularly (weekly) from now on. Reasons to this: things in muggle life, and also desire to put more time into my own wrock band & other music & other activities.

The news posting from now on will probably be less detailed, as I won't spend so much time searching for news. My focus will be posting about new wizard rock releases, and you can help me by sending me news about new releases, especially of those bands that aren't so well known.

My priority with WrockWay right not will be compiling the list of wizard rock released in 2010. Thank you everyone who has helped me with it! If you find releases that aren't on it yet, please let me know. I've updated the list today, and moved it to a new page (easier to update), check it out here: http://ur.ly/yoPU
