Hello all you wrocking people! Welcome to the first episode of WrockWay Podcast.
I'm Jade and those of you who already know me probably know me as wrocker Room of whateva, and the song playing in the background is one of my songs.
You can probably hear in my voice that I'm a bit ill. I have a terrible flu at the moment but any flu can't stop the wrock, and I wanted to record this now, and so I will.
In this podcast I'm gonna play wrock songs and then give a few short comments about them. And in the future I hope to have more segments in this podcast so if you have any suggestions for new segments of topics for me, please send them to me.
So let's get to the songs. The first song is by Go! Go! Gryffindor which is a new wrock band, started in the beginning of June, so they are one of the newest wrock bands that there are. And this song is called Don't You Know.
----
Oh, that was beautiful. It was Don't You Know by Go! Go! Gryffindor.
And I think there's something about the melody and the whole simplicity of the song that really fits that moment in the book,
the first big change in Harry's life. He gets a chance to leave his horrible past behind and head towards better things.
It's like this big hope of finding a place that he can really belong to. So that was a nice song about that moment.
And the next song is by Foundation of Fair Fortune and it's called Constantly Calling.
----
So that was Constantly Calling by Foundation of Fair Fortune.
And wow, like the previous song, this was a really beautiful song too. Some real emotion in that song. And the melody was just... I think they're really talented, and you know, like Go! Go! Gryffindor too. And the lyrics are very good. I really like the first two lines and then the last line in the chorus "He couldn't curse our love" which is basically the ultimate summary of what the Harry Potter series is about.
And I think that it kind of goes to the same category with all these legendary phrases that we have, like "Voldemort can't stop the wrock", and "The power we have is love" and what else are there... Hmm. Why don't you... yeah, why don't you send me your favourite lines in wrock songs, and you know, they could be some of these legendary lines, or some lines that many people haven't heard of. So I'm gonna gather some of those lines and talk about them in a future episode.
Thanks very much to Go! Go! Gryffindor and Foundation of Fair Fortune for sending their songs for this podcast, and check out more songs from these bands on their Myspace pages, the links are in the show notes.
And now that you've listened to the first episode of WrockWay Podcast I want to know what you think. So please comment and if you have any ideas for new segments or topics, or some song requests, send them to me.
I also need songs for the upcoming episodes, so if you're a wrocker, please consider sending a song or two for the podcast.
The address you can send them to is: [email protected].
Also, if you already havent, check out the WrockWay website, its: wrockway.weebly.com. There is a big link section which I'm working on, constantly adding new links. And there's also weekly blogs and news posted at least once a week. So go check it out, and comment on the blogs and the site in general, and if you have any wrock related news you want to get posted, or ideas for the site, send them to me.
WrockWay is also on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, so go friend and follow WrockWay there, links are in the show notes.

I have one more announcement which is about Infinitus which is very near. And as I can't be there I'm searching for some people who could do these short unofficial interview clips or record some material at Infinitus, preferably wrock related, it can be general material too. So if you're going to Infinitus and you have some kind of a recording device, a camera or a mp3 player with a recording option and you'd be interested in recording something for WrockWay, then please let me know. If you don't want to, you don't have to go to talk to strangers, you could do it among your friends if you want to. Just let me know, and if you have someone who you think would be interested, please tell them. Thanks.
Ok, thats that and now I want to wish you all the best wrock summer ever! Whether you're going to shows, or listening to wrock at home or wherever you are, or doing your own wrock songs. Just keep doing it and have lots of fun.
And I hope I have a new episode up soon, until then: wrock on and bye!
